CheckoutThis is a follow-on course from last term's Watercolours for Beginners. It is suitable for anyone who knows a little about watercolours and wants to know more. The topics to be covered will include mixing greens, wet-in-wet techniques, saving whites, pen and wash and painting water.
Examples and demonstrations will introduce each topic and individual help will be given throughout the course.
Course Information & Teaching Methods;
This course is suitable for those with no experience of watercolour and/or those wanting to refresh their skills.
It aims to develop your enjoyment and appreciation of watercolour. You will be taught techniques which
build on the basic washes, brush-strokes and colour mixing.
Each technique will be introduced with demonstrations and examples.
Exercises and a range of subjects to paint will provide practical experience of the techniques. Individual tuition
will be given for every topic.
Time will be made for the appreciation of each other’s achievements.
Equipment;
Please do bring any watercolour materials which you already have, although some watercolour paints will be
available to borrow.
Paper is available to purchase in the art room.
The tutor will provide brushes to borrow for the first session and advice will be given for purchasing your own.
If you do this before the course make sure they are of a good quality.
