CheckoutA range of 20th century Art styles will be explored through a series of practical exercises. The course aims to help develop confidence, improve existing skills & realise your potentials.
You will be shown how to use a variety of materials & how style is linked to technique. There will be a range of subject matter as appropriate to the style explored. Pop Art, Expressionism, Cubism and the Bauhaus grid method will be covered. You will work from direct observation, photographs and the chance of working from a model. There will be a three-week individual project where you may choose a topic to investigate
The Arts and Crafts Centre have easels and boards for our use.
Paper, pencils, paints, inks, rubbers etc are not included in the cost of the course.
The centre will provide materials that students will need for the first session in which a full explanation of materials needed in later weeks will be given. You may wish to bring materials you already have.
