Mixed Media & Craft
Would you like to incorporate the look of marble within your home without spending a fortune?
One of the easiest and most impactful ways to update old furniture is to paint it! If you’re looking for the wow factor, try adding a decorative faux marble finish. While this sounds a complex and expensive craft, it’s actually very inexpensive, achievable and enjoyable. During the two day workshop you’ll be taught how to use different tools; techniques; stenciling; transferring and the correct finishes. You’ll create three distinctively finished marble effect boxes.
These skills will enable you to go on to paint marble effects on garden slabs; plastic furniture; indoor walls; tiles; countertops or even wood. For example, transform a worn dresser or tabletop using acrylic painting techniques to mimic marble.
Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November will be a workshop aimed at Christmas gift box designs using the techniques outlined above in gold/red tortoiseshell.
